MEANING OF KEY THINGS IN THE BIBLE PENTECOST The word Pentecost means fifty in Greek. After the passover they used to count fifty days thats pentecost in the New Testament, Feast of Harvest, feast of fruits or feast of weeks in the Old Testament. Lev. 23: 5, 15, 16. In the Old Testament they used to celeblate three times as we have just read .   LORD SUPPER The bread and wine were symbols of His body and blood, which He was to offer on the cross as a sacrifice for the forgiveness of sins. Matt. 26: 26 - 28. This is a reminder of the last covenant Jesus has made for us. 1Cor. 11: 25. This is a feast of the Lord in the Old Testament when the Lord passedover the sraelites in Egypt and spared their homes when God struck down the Egyptians. Exo. 12: 27 - 28. therefore it is passover in the Old Testament and Lord Supper in the New Testament.

 Matthew 4: 1 - 3 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the       wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” From this verses we see Jesus being led by the Holy Spirit to be tempted by the devil. Should we say everyone who is being tempted by evil is always led by the Holy Spirit? What is temptation? According to James 1: 2 temptation are trials of many kind.  We have a real problem when it comes to pastors accepting that they need hospitals to treat whatever sickness they have. The work of God is good and as men of faith, pastors needs to believe that hospital and church are one. Because they both work for the common good of the society. The problem comes when the pastor is obesity and does not want to know how his blood pressure is. In Africa most of the pastors die with blood pressure and sugar because they believe in super power God. They don't have interest of knowing their blood pressure and sugar. The Bible is the word of God to train us into believing that we are the temple of God. Therefore we have the responsibility of taking care of our body.  Pastors do not need to eat everything but be selective of what you are eating and even the amount. Man of God remember this God will hold you accountable for failing to take care of His temple which is you.
