YOU ARE WHAT YOU THINK

 True worship 



For although they knew God, they did not honor him as God or give thanks to him, but they became futile in their thinking, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Claiming to be wise, they became fools, 

Romans 1:21-22

When it comes to pleasing God and become His friend there are two things we believers must look for. You could think you are worshipping God and think you know Him yet He does not know you. 

Today almost, though not everyone but almost everyone has heard about Jesus and knows what the Bible says about salvation. But we have a problem with the so called believers who assume heaven is for them. Yet the reality is that hell is waiting for them. 

Thinking is very important to a Christian. Watch this, keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life. Proverbs 4: 23. The voice of Jesus Himself: But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and d truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and in truth. 

If one cannot take care of his or her thoughts your worship is wrong and you are misleading yourself. Your heart will be darkened if your thoughts are not controlled. Do you remember what God told Joshua after the death of Moses? This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. That's Joshua 1: 8

Jesus said you will know them by their fruits. If you cannot control your thoughts, for sure what you are thinking will dictate how you live. If you cannot guard your heart what are you guarding? You may know the Bible from Genesis to Revelation but if you are living wildly in your thinking you will be in danger. Remember the life you enjoy comes from your heart. What enters your heart does not spoil you but what comes out of your mouth. 

You can be one with God if you meditate on the word of God and obey it. Guard what enters your heart. Do not be dictated by what is happening around your life but what the Bible says. When Jesus is built up in you, you will know if cause calmness will overtake you.

Temptation to a Christian

 Matthew 4: 1 - 3 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the       wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And after fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry. And the tempter came and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command these stones to become loaves of bread.” From this verses we see Jesus being led by the Holy Spirit to be tempted by the devil. Should we say everyone who is being tempted by evil is always led by the Holy Spirit? What is temptation? According to James 1: 2 temptation are trials of many kind. Troubles or problems that falls on all people. Everyone whether one likes or not is mental to face trials, problems. According to Jesus everyone will face hard times we see this on John 16: 33, "I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation.   1 CORINTHIANS 8: 9 For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, so that you through his poverty might become rich. You should know, do not be left out. It is only when you know that one is counted in and be saved. John 8:31 To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, “If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. John 8:32 Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” Verse 31 you are counted in as you become disciples. Verse 32 you are saved as you will be set free. 4.
